About the Journal

Erbil Dental Journal (EDJ) is the official academic journal of the College of Dentistry, Halwer Medical University in Erbil City of Iraq. EDJ is a double blinde, peer-review, open access, online and print version platform. It is published biannualy. The journal welcomes submissions of original and significant contributions from both basic and dental science.

The journal is indexed in DOAJ, ABCD, Crossref, Google Scholar, EZB, ScienceGate  MOHE-KRG, Index Medicus for the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO/EMRO: IMEMR) , Open Alex, booksci.cn and Scilit systems

Erbil Dental Journal (EDJ) is published by the College of Dentistry, Hawler Medical University. EDJ is a peer-review, open-access journal, which is published two times per year. EDJ aims to publish peer-reviewed manuscripts of Iraqi, regional, and international interests. Submissions on basic sciences, clinical or laboratory investigations of relevance to dentistry come within the scope of its publications. Original articles, review articles, case reports, brief communications, insights, and letters to the editor are all considered.

Scope and Essential criteria

EDJ aims to publish peer-reviewed manuscripts of regional and international interest. The editors welcome papers that develop and promote knowledge and practice that is directly relevant to all spheres of health care especially dental and oral health globally. EDJ mission is to promote excellence in dental service and healthcare through the dissemination of evidence-based, peer-reviewed clinical information and original research, discussion of relevant and controversial professional issues, and promotion of dental and oral health perspectives to the health care community and the public. Original articles, review articles, case reports, brief communications, insights and letters to the editor are all considered.
